Dr. Bertrand Chew

BDS (Singapore), FRACDS, MDS, FAMS

Dr Bertrand Chew obtained his BDS from NUS in 2001. He became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) and Masters in Dental Surgery (OMS) from NUS in 2006. His MDS was sponsored by the NHG (Alexandra Health) from the second year. He is now an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and obtained the Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore(FAMS). In 2012, he obtained the SAF Overseas Fellowship to further specialize in Implantology at UCLA, USA. He was the SAF Head Dental Officer, a Consultant at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Medical Centre, a Visiting Consultant to the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Alexandra Health and National University Centre for Oral Health, Singapore. He was also a visiting Consultant and the member of the Oral Health Academician program, National Dental Centre Singapore. He taught the post-graduate and undergraduate in Implant Dentistry as an Senior Clinical Lecturer, Faculty of Dentistry, NUS. Likewise, he is a certified Trainer for the Advanced Trauma Life Support Course (ATLS).

He is a specialist in private practice and has great interest in bone grafting procedures and upper wisdom tooth removal. He is also the Senior Visiting Specialist in the SAF.

In his spare time, he helps out at the community and obtained the Advanced Certificate of Community Leadership, a joint program by the People Association and the Republic Polytechnic.
